I can't believe that it is already the first day of school! Summer went by so fast! Often times, when time seems to go by so quickly we say, "Where has the time gone?" I can't ask that question of this summer. I know exactly where my time went. This past summer was spent with my new baby boy, Finn. He learned how to scoot across the floor on his tummy, drink from a sippy cup, and say "Mama", "Dada", and "No!"... I wonder where he learned that one from?! :) My time went to walking laps around the house while Finn's little hand held so tightly on to my finger. We spent our days splashing in the pool, playing with friends at the beach, and visiting Grandma and Grandpa up north at the lake. There were lots of naps, smiles, and giggles that could melt anyone's heart. This is how I spent my summer!
How did you spend your summer? Did you go swimming, play at the park, or go on vacation? I would love to hear all about it!
I know we have a lot to learn this first week of school, especially with this new PBIS program, but I can't wait to get started working with all of my students! I hope everyone had a great summer. Let's all have a wonderful school year!

I'm Back!
Hello to all of my friends!
I back!!! I enjoyed the time I had at home with my new baby boy, Finnley, but I'm also very excited to be back at school. I have missed all of my students so much. It has been fun seeing how much they learned while I was gone. Mrs. Loftus did a fantastic job while I was away. I know my students already miss her so much.
Thank you to all of my students who made my return so nice and welcoming. The 'Welcome Back' banner made me smile. You are all so sweet! Here is a picture of the banner my students made for me.
Just as soon as I got back, we are already to spring break! I am excited to spend more time at home with Finnley. What do you have planned for spring break? Are you going on a vacation somewhere or just staying at home. Is anyone planning on going to Frostie Freeze for some ice cream?
Have a great spring break!

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays!
I'm sure you all are as excited for the holidays as I am! Today is probably one of the best days of school. Excitement is in the air as you get ready for a nice winter break. I just wish there was a little snow to play in, don't you?!
What do you plan on doing during winter break? We will be celebrating Christmas with our families on Saturday and Sunday. We will open presents, play games, and eat yummy cookies! I want to make this Christmas extra special for Finn, since it is his first one. What are some things that you do with your families that make the holidays so special? I need some good ideas.
The New Year is coming up soon too! We don't have any plans for New Years yet. Do you watch the big ball drop on New Year's Eve? I like to play games, watch movies, and spend time with family and friends on New Year's Eve. I remember when I was younger, my brother and I would change all of the calendars in our house as soon as the ball dropped. That was one of our traditions.
I would love to hear from all of you again soon! Let me know what some of your traditions are for the holidays. I'm sure you will have a lot to share when you get back from winter break.
Happy Holidays from my family to yours!

Baby Sullivan!
Hi Everyone!
As most of you already know, I had my baby last week Tuesday, November 8th. It's a BOY! We named him Finnley William Sullivan. We will call him Finn, as a nickname. He weighed 7 pounds and measured 20 inches long when he was born. He is a wonderful baby! As much as I love being home to take care of my new baby, I really miss my family at Luther Elementary. I can't wait to come and visit all of you sometime soon. I know Finn will enjoy meeting all of you too! Until then, here are a couple pictures.
Keep writing me while I'm gone. I enjoy reading all of your comments. If you want to write something to Finn, I will make sure I read it to him.
If I don't talk to you soon.... Happy Thanksgiving!
Love,
Mrs. Sullivan

Halloween Fun
Halloween is such a fun time of year. Dressing up in costumes is so much fun. I dressed up as a mummy this year. Since I will be a mommy soon, I thought it would be fun to dress up as a mummy to be!
I saw a lot of really great costumes this year. What did you dress up as? Were you a spooky or a sweet character? Did you go trick-or-treating? Tell me all about your Halloween.
Time Flies...
"Time flies when you are having fun!" We are already one quarter of the way through the school year. The time has gone by so quickly. We have already learned so much this year. Students have read books, practiced spelling, and learned new math facts.
I am most proud of how many students have already met some of their goals on our "Sullivan's Sluggers" bulletin board. It isn't always easy to make a goal for yourself and work toward it every day. Keep up the hard work. You all are doing great!
What are some things that you have learned so far this year? What is something you are most proud of? Leave a comment on this post and let me know.

In A Month
WOW! Can you believe that October is already here? Where has the time gone? The first month of school is always so much fun. We get to see friends that we haven't seen all summer and meet new people as well. Now that the first few weeks of school are underway, I want to know what has been the best part of the school year so far. Is it something you have already learned? Or is it a new student in your classroom? Maybe it is a field trip, school assembly, or lesson that you have already experienced. Let me know what is your favorite memory so far of this school year!
